Police release second video of suspect wanted in connection to attempted rape in Jackson Heights

The police have released another video of a man wanted in connection to an attempted rape that took place in Jackson Heights Sunday.

The suspect attempted to rape a 35-year-old woman in the vicinity of 74th Street and 37th Avenue at 4:40 am Sunday after punching her in the head and dragging her along ground, according to police.

The alleged perpetrator pulled her over a fence where he attempted to sexually assault her. The woman managed to fight off the suspect and ran toward 37th Avenue where she received help from a motorist, police said.

The suspect fled northbound on 74th Street with the victim’s purse.

The woman suffered bruising and abrasions to her head and torso and was transported to Elmhurst General Hospital in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 30 to 35 years old, 5’5″, medium build; last seen wearing a white jacket, a green shirt, black shoes and light colored pants.
