Four-Month-Old Girl Found Dead at Her Jackson Heights Home, Police Investigate

The police are investigating the death of a 4-month-old girl who was found by cops inside her Jackson Heights this morning.

Police received a 911 call at about 10:50 a.m. Monday and discovered the infant unconscious and unresponsive at her 35th Avenue/73rd Street home.  There were no obvious signs of trauma, police said.

The girl, identified as Zeyrep Kocaman, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her body has been transferred to the NYC Medical Examiner’s office, which is determining the cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.

Karaoke dispute turns violent as woman attacks man over microphone: NYPD

Police from the 109th Precinct in Flushing are looking for a crazed karaoke singer who attacked a 24-year-old man during the early morning hours of Monday, Jan. 20, and remains at large.

The assault occurred at 4 a.m. inside the 9Plus KTV & Party Lounge, located at 136-28 39th Ave., when a blonde woman began arguing with the victim over a karaoke microphone. The suspect picked up a metal drink pitcher and smashed him in the head with it, causing serious physical injury to the victim, police said Monday.
