The annual ‘Warming Up Winter’ holiday market returns to the Queens Museum this Sunday, showcasing nearly 60 local artisans and offering plenty of tasty foods to try.
The holiday market, a collaboration between the Queens Museum and the Queens Night Market, will be held on Sunday, Dec. 15 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Queens Museum in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
“This is our third Holiday Market in partnership with the Queens Museum, and we couldn’t be happier,” said John Wang, founder of the Queens Night Market. “There will be tons of local products that will make perfect holiday gifts.”
The market is the perfect opportunity to get holiday shopping down, while also supporting local artists and vendors.
Local items for sale at the market include paintings, 3D-printed jewelry, Mexican beadwork, Southeast Asian fabric, crochet toys, custom greeting cards, small batch body products, ceramics, robot lamps, local perfumes, photography and baked goods.
Food such as jerk chicken from Treat Yourself Jerk Chicken, birria tacos and pozole from EL Trompo and mochi waffles from Moffle Bar will also be for sale.
DJ Marla Jo will soundtrack the afternoon and Bobby Guitar will play live music as well.
The Queens Museum will also be debuting their gift shop, The August Tree, this year. It’s curated to celebrate the art, history and diversity of Queens.
