Woman Subjected to Anti-Asian Taunts and Violence on 7 Train

March 24, 2021 By Christian Murray

The police are looking for a man who made a number of anti-Asian statements towards a 35-year-old woman yesterday while she was on a 7 train near the Main Street Flushing station.

The victim was subjected to the racist taunts while she was sitting across from the alleged bigot while the train was near Roosevelt Avenue and Willets Point Boulevard at around 11:30 a.m.

The woman then received a phone call and began speaking in her native language, leading to more racist rhetoric.

The victim then started to record the encounter at which point the suspect slapped her Samsung S9 cellphone out of her hand damaging the screen. He then picked up the phone and smashed it to the ground causing further damage.

The woman, in fear of her safety, picked up her phone and fled to another train car.

The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident. The police released a video of the suspect.

The suspect is described as being of dark complexion, approximately 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing multi-colored camouflage overalls, yellow Nike sneakers and a green hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, or on Twitter @NYPDTips.

Hope the NYPD catches this racist and this scrum is banned from using public transit. There should be real consequences for this vitriol. Some one knows who this POS is. Turn him in.
