Woman Stabbed to Death inside Jackson Heights Salon Wednesday

A 35-year-old woman was stabbed to death inside a Jackson Heights salon Wednesday evening, police said.

At about 7 p.m., police were called to 93-05 37th Ave. and found the woman lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds to her torso, according to police. She was taken to Elmhurst General Hospital where she was pronounced dead. 

William Rivas, 39, of Corona was arrested and charged the next day with murder and criminal possession of a weapon for the stabbing. He was also taken to Elmhurst General Hospital Wednesday and treated for a laceration on his arm, according to police.

According to the New York Daily News, the victim worked at Tu S’tilo Salon and Spa, where she was stabbed and Rivas was her estranged husband. The attack occurred in front of her co-workers.

The identity of the victim is pending family notification and has not been released.

Why heal the criminals let em die. I eas in hospital other day and the guy yelling was a a guy who stabbed someone and he was handcuffed to the bed.

We have to have harsher laws and penalties for domestic violence. Obviously, probation, short incarceration and orders of protection do not do it. RIP Iris.

This was a crazy husband that didn’t want to get a divorce and was a stalker. Sadly there are crazy douche bag men in all races in society dumbass. Don’t believe me watch Live PD dudes be beating , stabbing and shooting their wives/GF all the time. There is a mental health issue in America we need to address . Oh but we can’t pay for it .
