Police have released startling video of a 12-year-old student in Elmhurst being robbed and dragged along the sidewalk by two muggers riding a scooter.
The frightening incident, which took place last month, is linked to a string of robberies carried out by the two suspects in central Queens where they would pull up alongside their victims on a scooter and then steal their necklaces.
Police said that six robberies took place – plus an attempted robbery — between Oct. 24 and Nov. 7. The muggings were carried out in Elmhurst, Corona and Jackson Heights.
The video of the 12-year-old student, a girl, being mugged was released by the NYPD Sunday, and was the first incident in the duo’s alleged crime spree, police said.
The footage shows the girl walking home from school at around 4:35 p.m. on Oct. 24 when the alleged thieves pull up alongside her on the sidewalk in front of an apartment building at 42-63 Layton St.
The man riding on the back of the scooter then reaches out and grabs the girl’s necklace from around her neck – pulling her forward.
As the bike moves, the girl falls to the ground and is dragged along the concrete by the suspect who is still clinging to her chain. The scooter driver then loses his balance and crashes the bike into a parked car knocking both riders off the bike.
The scooter passenger, now on his feet, then stands over the girl and rips the chain from her neck. The two men then flee the scene.
The pair struck again on Oct. 26, when they were involved in four incidents that day.
In the first incident, the pair pulled up behind a pedestrian at the intersection of 34th Avenue and 103rd Street in Jackson Heights at around 2:20 p.m. They punched the victim, a 37-year-old woman, in the face and one of the suspects then tried to snatch her necklace from around her neck but was unsuccessful. They then fled the scene, police said.
About 10 minutes later, the suspects targeted a 43-year-old woman walking at the intersection of 31st Avenue and 76th Street in Jackson Heights. The assailants shoved the victim and then snatched two necklaces from her neck before fleeing, police said.
Later that day, at around 7 p.m., the pair yanked a chain from around the neck of a 52-year-old man who was walking in front of a house at 41-53 75th St. in Elmhurst, according to the NYPD.
The crime spree continued at 8:50 p.m. when the suspects drove back to Jackson Heights and snatched a necklace from around the neck of a 35-year-old woman who was walking in front of an apartment building at 35-20 73rd St., police said.
Two days later, at around 3 p.m., the duo stole a necklace from around the neck of a 70-year-old woman as she was walking in front of an apartment building at 34-21 77th St. in Jackson Heights.
The latest robbery took place in Corona on Nov. 7 when the suspects approached a 48-year-old woman while she was walking at the intersection of Penrod Street and Otis Avenue. The pair pulled up alongside the victim before one of the suspects swiped her chain from around her neck.
They then fled the scene.
It is unclear as to the value of the chains stolen.
None of the victims required medical attention, police said.

Sunday wasn’t first time. My friend warned me a month ago. He Said there’s 2 guys on a scooter robbing people in jh. I was waiting for the bus and I saw 2 guys pull up on a scooter, but they just looked and kept going. Probably because im capable of protectingmyself. Im not a 12yr old girl , or a 70year old . They only rob someone who looks vulnerable. Not sure if it was them but they have been doing this for a month. Hopefully they try to rob a guy who’s packing and they get their heads blown off. These are the worst kind of people
