Two boys were seriously injured when they were hit by cars in separate Queens crashes Friday evening.

Police said a 10-year-old boy was trying to cross Jewel Avenue at 110th Street in Forest Hills at about 8 p.m. Friday when he was struck by a Honda CRV SUV driven by a 21-year-old man.

The child suffered trauma to his head. Emergency medical responders initially transported the injured child to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital in Flushing – but then brought him to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan, where he was listed in critical condition.

The SUV driver remained at the location, and an investigation into the incident was ongoing, the NYPD said.

The boy’s parents arrived on the scene as their child was being put into an ambulance, sources told the NY Daily News.

About an hour and a half later – at 9:30 p.m. – a 16-year-old boy riding a bike in College Point was left in critical condition by a hit-and-run driver.

Police said the teen had been cycling on College Point Boulevard near 18th Avenue when he was struck by a 2019 Toyota Camry.

An investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad found that the Toyota driver crossed over the double yellow line into the oncoming traffic lane to overtake another vehicle before hitting the teen.

The driver then kept going on College Point Boulevard and made a ride eastbound onto 15th Avenue – without stopping to check on the victim – the NYPD said.

The unoccupied Toyota was later recovered at 120-07 15th Avenue, and no arrests had been made as of Sunday, police said.

Video of the banged-up vehicle from WNBC showed that the car’s windshield was severely damaged and the roof of the blue Toyota was dented inward from the impact.

The injured teen had severe head trauma and was brought by medics to NYC health + Hospitals/Jacobi in Manhattan, where he was in critical condition.
