The NYPD released surveillance images of three suspects who went on a bloody rampage, stabbing five men during a street brawl in Corona on the night of Saturday, Aug. 3.

Police from the 115th Precinct in Jackson Heights reported that the trouble began at around 11:40 p.m. near the northwest corner of 37th Avenue and 100th Street, where two groups of men engaged in a staredown that descended into violence when the three wanted men pulled out knives and attacked the group on the residential street.

When the brutal assault was over, the three assailants ran off westbound on 37th Avenue toward 99th Street. Police responding to 911 calls of an assault arrived on the scene and found a 29-year-old man who had been stabbed in the stomach, a 23-year-old man who was slashed on the left shoulder and a 25-year-old man who was stabbed in the torso.

EMS rushed the three wounded men to Elmhurst Hospital, where two victims were listed in critical condition and one in stable condition, police said. The two remaining victims were transported by EMS to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying the three attackers, who are seen on video surveillance walking nearby while one of the suspects was apparently placing an order with a street vendor just before the bloody assault began.

One of the assailants is described as having a light complexion with black hair and a beard who wore a white t-shirt with a Guess logo across the chest, ripped blue jeans and white and black sneakers. The second suspect is described as having a medium complexion, black hair and wearing a white polo shirt, blue jean shorts and white sneakers. The third assailant is described as having a light complexion with black hair and a beard and was at the street vendor when he began yelling. He wore a black polo shirt, ripped gray jeans and black sneakers.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at crimestoppers.nypdonline.org, or on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) @NYPDTips. All calls and messages are kept confidential.

Through Aug. 4, the 115th Precinct has reported 379 felony assaults so far in 2024, 106 more than the 273 felony assaults reported at the same point last year, an increase of 39.4%, according to the most recent CompStat report.
