During the 28-day period from Dec. 4-31, the number of robberies rose 54.2% in northern Queens, from 118 cases in 2022 to 182 in 2023. The most significant increase was seen in the 110th Precinct, which oversees Corona and Elmhurst. Cases there rose from 18 to 52. Nov. 28, 2023 By Bill Parry Police from the 110th Precinct are looking for a gunman and his three accomplices who robbed a corner deli in Corona on Nov. 26. Police say the robbery crew entered Red Delicious Deli & Grocery just before midnight when the ringleader pulled out a handgun and demanded cash. A 22-year old store worker and his fellow employee, a 32-year-old man, complied and the robbers left with $12,000 in cash and MetroCards, police said.
