Suspect Wanted For Sex Attack Inside Flushing Meadows Corona Park Earlier This Month: NYPD

Police have released a sketch of man wanted for an alleged sex attack inside Flushing Meadows Corona Park earlier this month.

The NYPD said the suspect approached a 34-year-old woman on a footbridge inside the park at around 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 8 and grabbed her from behind. He then sexually abused the woman before fleeing northbound through the park, police said.

The incident took place on the bridge near exit 22 on the Van Wyck Expressway.

Police said the woman was not physically injured and did not need medical attention

No other details surrounding the attack have been released.

Would it have offended you less if it was phrased that way? There’s a depiction of the suspect at the top of the article. It’s under this thing called a “title.”

New details have emerged in the case of the Hollis man accused luring a 14-year-old boy into his car in St. Albans and then allegedly raping him on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 1.

Virgilio Taveras, 63, of Hillside Avenue, was arrested by detectives from the Queens Special Victims Squad two days later and booked at the 107th Precinct in Fresh Meadows. Taveras was arraigned on the Fourth of July in Queens Criminal Court on a complaint charging him with rape in the second degree, luring a child as an E felony, endangering the welfare of a child and other related crimes.
