An alleged sex worker pleaded guilty to charges today in Brooklyn federal court in relation to the death of two men in two separate incidents in Queens.
Angelina Barini, 43, pleaded guilty to two counts of distributing narcotics that caused death, along with a slew of other drug-related charges, according to federal authorities. She faces a minimum of 20 years in prison.
According to the criminal complaint, Barini provided narcotics containing fentanyl to her victims between July and August 2019 while conducting business as a sex worker.
On July 11, 2019 Barini met with a man at the Crown Motor Inn, located at 74-01 Queens Blvd., and gave him fentanyl-laced drugs, causing his overdose death. Video surveillance showed Barini enter the motel with the man.
On Aug. 5, 2019, she met another victim at a house in College Point and gave him fentanyl-laced drugs that caused his death.

“With today’s guilty plea, Barini takes responsibility for her actions in distributing lethal doses of opioids that caused the overdose deaths of unsuspecting victims, shattering the lives of their families,” said Acting U. S. Attorney Jacquelyn Kasulis.
“This Office is committed to ending the opioid epidemic and prosecuting defendants like Barini who cause senseless, drug-related deaths in our communities.”
Barini is also linked to the death of Andrea Zamperoni, a Ciprani Dolci chef, who died of a drug overdose at the Kamway Lodge, located in Elmhurst, on Aug. 21, 2019.
Barini also pleaded guilty today to one count of distributing fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine; and one count of conspiring to distribute gamma-butyrolactone (GBL), which is commonly referred to as a “date rape” drug
“The scourge of addiction takes many forms, but one of its most devastating effects is that beyond the direct victims of drug overdoses are the families who lose loved ones too soon. Barini had no regard for her victims, but has made the right choice by taking responsibility for her actions,” said Homeland Security Special Agent-in-Charge Peter Fitzhugh.
