A public hearing is scheduled in Manhattan next week for the proposed site of a new elementary school on the Jackson Heights/Woodside border.

The hearing will take place on Tuesday at 250 Broadway in Manhattan, 16th Floor. The agenda, which includes other proposals for schools in Ozone Park, Brooklyn and Staten Island, kicks off at 11 a.m.

If approved, the proposed 450-seat elementary school would sit at 69-01 34th Ave., the former site of White Castle’s regional headquarters. Community Board 3 approved the building plan in May.

The school would serve grades pre-K through five.

According to School Construction Authority documents, the school is expected to open its doors in 2019.
