Police Search for Man Who Pulled Knife at 74th Street/Roosevelt Station

Police are searching for a man who threatened a subway commuter with a knife inside the 74th St./ Roosevelt subway station on Monday.

The suspect allegedly pulled a knife on the victim, a 32-year-old man, after an argument on the subway mezzanine around 9:30 a.m.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man who is between 40 and 50 years old. He is about 200 pounds and was last seen wearing a black shirt, dark colored shorts and carrying a black bag.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

It dose not matter if he is legal and what nationality he is . He is an asshole. He needs to be caught arrested and put in jail. PERIOD

These dirt bags are asking for another subway vigilante.
I see cops at 74st Station texting on their phones and just hanging out . NYPD needs to be more proactive.
Uphold the law , enforce the rules and incidents like these won’t happen.

That’s a nice clear photo of him. He’ll only serve a year in jail if that. If he’s not legally in the US, he should be tried, charged, and released from the country with a suspended sentence, if he reenters the US, he should be immediately detained and his sentence tripled. US immigration policy is way too permissive. We have people overstaying student visas for years. Easy way to fix that, is fine the school $1,000 a day if someone overstays their student visa.

Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills and Transit District 20 are looking for a man, who is built like an NFL player, for allegedly groping a 50-year-old woman as she waited for the subway near the Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst on Monday morning.

The victim was standing on the southbound M/R platform at the 59th Avenue subway station on the Queens Boulevard line when a stranger approached her and touched her left buttocks, police said. The brute fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The woman was not injured during the incident.

AG’s office launches investigation into NYPD-involved fatal shooting near Roosevelt Avenue in Corona on Saturday morning

The New York Attorney General’s Office of Special Investigation (OSI) has launched a probe into the death of Jesus Alberto Nunez Reyes, 65, who was shot and killed during an encounter with NYPD officers in Corona on Saturday morning.

At approximately 4:09 a.m. on April 20, police officers responded to 39-21 103rd St., where they encountered Nunez Reyes allegedly holding a knife. The officers repeatedly commanded him to drop the knife, but Nunez Reyes did not comply, and an officer fired at him, the AG’s office said in a brief statement. Nunez Reyes was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Officers recovered a knife at the scene.
