Police Looking for Man Who Beat Elmhurst Spa Worker in Attempted Sexual Assault

Dec. 11, 2020 By Allie Griffin

Police are looking for a man who assaulted a female worker at an Elmhurst spa Wednesday and then tried to grope her.

The suspect walked into Massage Spa, located at 80-20 Roosevelt Ave., just before 11 p.m. and asked the worker for a massage, police said. When the 57-year-old female employee began the massage the man allegedly got aggressive.

The suspect grabbed the woman by the neck and forcibly pushed her onto the ground. He then attempted to force her to perform a sex act on him, police said.

The man struck the woman multiple times on her face when she resisted, police said. He fled the spa on foot and the victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital for bruising to her face and bleeding in her right eye, police said.

The unidentified man is described as light-skinned, in his 30s, 5 foot 8 inches tall, with a medium build and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweater, dark-colored Adidas sweatpants with white stripes on the sides and white and black sneakers, police said.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, or on Twitter @NYPDTips.
