The police are looking for three men who robbed a straphanger on a Manhattan-bound 7 train in Woodside last month.
The victim, a 44-year-old man, was aboard the train at the 52nd Street Station when three unknown men approached him at around 10:50 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, with one of them punching him in the face.
The men then took the victim’s iPhone 13, backpack and wallet, which contained bank cards and ID. The alleged thieves then fled to another train car and then to parts unknown.
The victim suffered pain and bruising to his face.
The suspects allegedly used one of the victim’s credit cards at a Jackson Heights restaurant—Puebla Sea Food—located at 95-27 Roosevelt Ave. at around 1:10 a.m. on Thursday, March 17. They made a purchase in the amount of $31.20.
The police have released photos of the suspects taken from the restaurant.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). I would like to know their immigration status. That is, if these desperadoes ever are
apprehended.
