Dec. 5, By Tara Law

A man forced his way into a Jackson Heights apartment last week and assaulted a 5-year old, while violating an order of protection, police said.

Alix Sanchez, 31, barged his way into a 94th Street and 37th Avenue apartment at around 8 pm on Nov. 30, police say. Upon entry, he pushed an 18-year-old male to the floor and then slapped a 5-year-old boy across the face.

Sanchez then took off on foot, police said.

The boy was taken to Elmhurst Hospital for evaluation. There were no other injuries, according to the police.

Sanchez is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 190 pounds, and has brown eyes and hair, police say.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
