NYPD: Man Found Dead in Wooded Area in Elmhurst

A man’s body was found in a wooded area near a house in Elmhurst this morning.

Police were notified at 9:30 a.m. that there was an unresponsive man located in a grassy area in the vicinity of 40-24 72nd St.

When police arrived, they discovered an unidentified man unconscious and unresponsive. EMS responded and pronounced the man dead on the scene.

The medical examiner is determining the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.

The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
