NYPD: Man dies after falling off Corona roof while installing solar panels

A construction worker died Thursday after he fell from the roof of a Corona home while installing solar panels.

The 60-year-old man was working on the roof of a two story house at around 11:30 am at 94-22 50th Avenue (between 94th and Junction Blvd.) when he fell, according to police.

When police arrived on the scene the man was lying on the ground with severe head trauma.

He was take to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead. His identity was not immediately released.

Police are still investigating the incident.
