A 34-year-old New Jersey man is dead after crashing his car on the Whitestone Expressway early Saturday.

Shivnauth, according to police, was driving northbound on the expressway when he struck the right side guardrail near exit 20, spun across five lanes of traffic and plowed into the median.

Responding officers found him with severe trauma about the body inside the Highlander. EMS rushed him to New York-Presbyterian Hospital – Queens, where he was pronounced dead.
