Man shot on 90th Street, police search for victim

An unidentified man was shot on 90th Street Sunday night.

Five to six shots were fired at the man in front of 37-55 90th Street at approximately 7 pm, according to the NYPD.

The victim was shot but fled the scene, according to police.

The police searched local hospitals for him without success.

The shooter remains unknown to police. However, police said nothing so far has indicated that it was gang related.

The investigation is still ongoing.

The number of grand larcenies across Queens was down during the 28-day period from March 18 to April 14, compared to the same period of time last year, according to the latest crime stats released by the NYPD Monday. At the same time, rapes and robberies decreased significantly in northern and southern Queens, respectively.
