A 27-year-old man was shot in the stomach during a robbery in Corona earlier this month, police said.

The victim was standing outside Capelli’s Restaurant & Lounge, located at 107-11 Northern Blvd., at around 4 a.m. on Jan. 13 when an unidentified man shot him as part of a robbery.

The suspect took the victim’s gold chain and fled the scene, according to police.

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in serious but stable condition.

Anyone with information in regard to the identity of the suspect is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
