Police are searching for a man who stole purses filled with cash and credit cards from employees at two Queens stores, including a small Jackson Heights grocery store, back in October.

The thief, according to a police report released earlier this week, entered NYC Food Mart at 81-06 37th Ave just before 8:15 p.m. on Oct. 27, and stole a purse belonging to a 54-year-old female employee.

The purse contained cash, personal property, and credit cards, which he later charged $200 to in unauthorized purchases at various stores.

Eight days before that incident, the same suspect entered a 7-Eleven in Forest Hills, where he stole a purse belonging to an 52-year-old female employee.

The victim’s purse had $714 in cash, along with credit cards and a cell phone.

This time, the suspect made $700 in unauthorized purchases using her card.

The suspect is identified as black, around 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches, 180 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a green, white, and black hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or for Spanish 1-888-57-PISTA (74782)
