Man fatally struck by No. 7 train at 82nd Street Station

A 38-year-old man died after being hit by a No. 7 train at the 82nd Street Station this morning, police said.

The man, whose name has yet to be released, was sitting on the elevated tracks at about 2:45 am when a Manhattan-bound No. 7 train slammed into him at the 82nd Street station on Roosevelt Avenue.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the NYPD.

Officials said it appeared to be a suicide.
