Man Fatally Shot at Jackson Heights Bodega

A 31-year-old man was shot and killed inside a Jackson Heights bodega last night.

Police responding to a 911 call arrived at Cinco de Mayo Food Market at 81-06 Roosevelt Avenue around 8:16 p.m. They discovered the victim unconscious and with gunshot wounds to his chest, police say.

EMS transported the man to NYC Health and Hospitals / Elmhurst, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. The victim’s identity has not been released pending family notification.
