Four-Alarm Fire Tears Through Several Businesses in Sunnyside

A group of greenspaces in Corona is receiving a major upgrade. 

Hours before seven businesses were destroyed during a four-alarm fire on Dry Harbor Road in Middle Village, the FDNY battled another stubborn two-alarm blaze in a scrapyard about three miles west in Maspeth on Monday morning.

Police from the 115th Precinct in Jackson Heights are looking for two moped-riding suspects who targeted a motorist near Roosevelt Avenue in Corona in an armed robbery during the afternoon of Friday, July 25.
