A first responder was fatally stabbed in the Ditmars section of Astoria Thursday afternoon — and police have apprehended her alleged attacker after he barricaded himself inside a nearby building.

The victim, 61, an on-duty Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) worker, was stabbed in the neck by a man at the 20th Avenue and 41st Street intersection at around 2:40 p.m., according to police.

Police say the alleged perpetrator fled into a nearby building, located at 40-19 20th Ave.

There are unconfirmed reports that the man was with another woman inside the building which is located on the northwestern corner of the intersection. It was previously occupied by Notes nightclub.

The suspect was later taken into custody.

The EMT worker was transported to Mount Sinai Queens in critical condition, police said. The New York Post and New York Daily News reported that she later died at the hospital.

Video footage posted to the Citizen app showed a heavy police presence at the scene and the front of the building has been cordoned off with police tape.

At least one NYPD helicopter could be seen flying overhead, the footage shows.

It is unclear what led up to the alleged stabbing. The NYPD was unable to provide any further details regarding the incident.

Three sought in armed robbery near Flushing Meadows Corona Park: NYPD

Police from the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst are looking for armed robbers who targeted a 26-year-old woman in Corona and remain at large nearly two weeks later.

Police say three strangers approached the woman as she walked near the Playground for All Children in Flushing Meadows Corona Park at Corona Avenue and Saultell Avenue at around 4:20 a.m. on Friday, July 12. One of the perpetrators allegedly pulled out a small silver revolver and threatened the victim, while the others forcibly removed two yellow gold necklaces worth $2,000, according to the police report; however, an NYPD spokesman said it is not clear if that was the value of both chains or each one individually.
