A popular Jackson Heights coffee shop re-opened today after two months of renovations.

Espresso 77, located at 35-57 77th St., had closed in January to expand into a neighboring space.

The owners, Afzal Hossain and Julie Nymann, said they can now accommodate about twice as many customers. The café, which previously seated 16 people, can now seat 38, according to Hossain.

The owners posted about the reopening on the Espresso 77 Facebook page, but otherwise decided to keep the event quiet.

“We just opened the doors and our regulars came by,” he said. “We didn’t spread the word. It would have been very busy.”

Hossain and Nymann, who opened the café in 2007, launched a fundraising campaign on Indigogo.com last year, in hope of raising $50,000 to pay for the renovation.

They came up short of that goal but managed to raise $13,946.
