Police are searching for a man who shot a motorist in the stomach during a road rage incident in Woodside last night.

The suspect got into a heated argument with the victim while stopped at traffic lights at Queens Blvd. and 65th Pl. at around 7:30 p.m., according to police.

The shooter had been sitting in the driver’s seat of a gray-colored Nissan Altima when the victim, a 32-year-old male, got out of his vehicle and punched him through the driver’s side window that was lowered, police said.

The enraged suspect then got out of his Nissan with a gun and blasted the victim in the stomach, police said.

The shooter fled the scene in his vehicle westbound on Queens Boulevard, police said.

The victim was transferred to Elmhurst Hospital by EMS and is expected to survive.

Police said the shooter was wearing dark-colored clothes and the Nissan had New York plates with the registration number KGJ5333.
