Two men shot by teenager in gang-related incident in Elmhurst, cops say

A 17-year-old shot two men in Elmhurst late Wednesday in a gang related incident, the police said.

Luis Duchitanga, from Corona, allegedly shot the men at around 11:54 p.m. in the vicinity of 94th Street and 45th Avenue, near a footbridge that goes over the Long Island Rail Road’s Port Washington branch, according to police.

Duchitanga allegedly shot a 21-year-old man in the head and a 24-year-old in the face.

He was arrested and charged with two counts each of attempted murder, gang assault and assault.

The victims were taken to Elmhurst Hospital and are in stable condition.
