A man fell asleep on the 7-train and had his pants pocket cut open and his wallet removed, according to police.
The 28-year-old victim was riding the 7-train near 74th Street on Sunday, May 31st, when he woke up and noticed that his pants pocket had been cut open and his wallet was missing. The incident occurred at around 4:50 am, according to police.
Surveillance video from after the incident shows the suspect swiping a metro card.
The crime is being viewed as a grand larceny and police are asking anyone with any information to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
