78-Year-Old Woman Found Dead With Trauma to Her Body in Woodside: NYPD

A 78-year-old woman was found dead with trauma to her body in Woodside this morning, according to police.

Police received a 911 call at around 7:50 a.m. today that a woman was unconscious inside 67-14 41st Ave. Upon arrival, police found her unconscious and unresponsive with trauma to her body.

EMS declared her dead on the scene.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death and an investigation is ongoing.

Police have not released the name of the deceased, pending family notification.

Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills and Transit District 20 are looking for a man, who is built like an NFL player, for allegedly groping a 50-year-old woman as she waited for the subway near the Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst on Monday morning.

The victim was standing on the southbound M/R platform at the 59th Avenue subway station on the Queens Boulevard line when a stranger approached her and touched her left buttocks, police said. The brute fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The woman was not injured during the incident.
