37-Year-Old Man Found Dead Inside Corona Hotel Saturday: NYPD

The police are investigating the death of a 37-year-old man who was found dead inside a hotel in Corona Saturday.

The man was discovered after police responded to a 911 call of an unconscious male inside the Corona Hotel, located at 112-23 Roosevelt Ave. just before midnight, according to police.

Cops found the man inside a hotel room unconscious and unresponsive and lying face-up on the bed. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will ultimately determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing, cops said.

The man’s name has not been released, pending family notification.

Torrence Holmes, 35, of St. Nicholas Place in Hamilton Heights, was taken into custody at his home and transported back to Queens, where he was booked at the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst on manslaughter and other charges on Saturday afternoon.
