28-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in LeFrak City Apartment Complex

A 28-year-old woman was found lying in the hallway of an apartment building in LeFrak City Monday morning and has been pronounced dead.

The woman was lying on the fifth floor hallway of a building at 97-22 57th Ave. when police officers arrived at around 4 a.m. She was unconscious and unresponsive, police said.

She was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was declared dead. The city’s medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

Police have yet to release the woman’s identity as they work to notify family members.
