13-Year-Old Boy Held Up at Knifepoint on Northern Boulevard, Suspect Takes Bike

The police are looking for a man who held up a 13-year-old boy at knifepoint and then stole his bicycle on Northern Boulevard on Saturday.

The suspect allegedly approached the boy who was standing next to his bike at the corner of Northern Boulevard and 79th Street at around 4:12 p.m., police said. The man displayed a pocket knife, before grabbing the 13-year-old’s bicycle and riding off with it northbound on 79th Street toward 32nd Avenue.

The boy sustained a minor scratch to his right arm during the robbery and declined medical attention. The total value of the property stolen is $600, according to the NYPD.

The suspect is described as being of medium complexion and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white sneakers.

The NYPD has released video footage and a photo of the suspect riding the stolen bicycle after the robbery.
