Shake Shack to open at Queens Center Mall Wednesday

Shake Shack, the trendy burger joint, is opening its first Queens location outside of JFK Airport and Citi Field tomorrow.

The establishment will be located at Queens Center Mall at 90-15 Queens Blvd.

The burgers, hot dogs and crinkle fries will be served alongside local beer like Queens Lager, Bronx American Pale Ale and Brooklyn East IPA on tap.

The chain will also be serving its special concrete shakes at the Queens Center location.

Shake Shack announced earlier this year that it is opening a location in Forest Hills in 2016.

Its Queens Center location will be open seven days a week.

Queens elected officials secure $70 million from New York State Budget for school safety equipment in religious and independent schools

Religious and independent schools throughout the city will soon receive additional funding for school safety equipment, thanks to Assemblymember Andrew Hevesi and State Senator Michael Gianaris, who, after extensive advocacy efforts, successfully secured $70 million from the New York State Budget for 2024-25 for Non-Public School Safety Equipment (NPSE) grants.
