The NYPD is searching for four men in a gray Nissan Sentra with New Jersey plates who snatched a 33-year-old man off a Jackson Heights street in broad daylight on Monday morning and proceeded to beat and rob him before he escaped from the vehicle nearly eight miles away in Jamaica.

However, northern Queens has experienced a significant decline in grand larcenies over this same period of time. At the same time, vehicle thefts decreased throughout the borough. Over the course of the 28-day period, felony assaults in northern Queens rose 11.2%, from 197 in 2023 to 219 in 2024.
