Man Found Dead in Jackson Heights Apartment: NYPD

A man was found dead inside a Jackson Heights apartment building Saturday, police say.

Police responded to a 911 call at around 7:50 p.m. after receiving a report that there was an unconscious man inside a sixth floor apartment on 79th Street just off Roosevelt Avenue.

The 57-year-old man was found unresponsive on the floor of a back bedroom, according to police.

EMS pronounced the victim dead upon arrival. The New York City Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.

The identification of the deceased is being withheld until the family is notified.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is still ongoing.
