Peralta to introduce legislation to ban ‘herbal Viagra’

With former NBA player and reality TV star Lamar Odom fighting for his life after taking “herbal Viagra,” a local official is looking to ban the supplement in New York.

State Senator Jose Peralta said in a statement that he will be introducing legislation to ban the sale of “herbal Viagra,” which is marketed for the purpose of enhanced sexual performance and curing erectile dysfunction.

The Federal Drug Administration has repeatedly warned the public not to use the product, according to Peralta.

Peralta will outline his legislation at his district office, located at 32-37 Junction Blvd in East Elmhurst, on Monday at 11 am.

Odom, who is from Queens, was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel earlier this week after taking up to 10 doses of “herbal Viagra,” among other drugs, according to reports.
