An NYPD Officer was arrested today after his alleged role in a group attack outside a bar in Jackson Heights months ago.

Jose Linares-Bilbao, 24, was arrested at around 8:35 a.m. in Richmond Hill, where he resides, and was charged with assault, second-degree assault, and harassment for allegedly participating in a four-person attack against a 35-year-old man on Oct. 13, police said.

The incident allegedly occurred outside Friend’s Tavern, a gay bar located at 78-11 Roosevelt Ave., at around 3:55 a.m. Linares-Bilbao was off-duty at the time.

Police said the victim was attacked by the four men, including Linares-Bilbao, following a verbal dispute.

The 35-year-old was hit in the head with a bottle during the attack, and sustained a laceration to the side of his head.

The victim had flagged down nearby police to report the attack, according to the NYPD.

Besides Linares-Bilbao, the three other alleged attackers, not affiliated with the NYPD, were also arrested and charged with assault following the October incident.

Linares-Bilbao, who usually patrols housing in Queens, is currently suspended and awaits his court date.
