Man, 26, Found Dead in Car in North Corona

The body of a 26-year-old man with head trauma was found inside of a car in North Corona yesterday. 

Police responded to a 911 call about an assault–but found the body of Daryl Whitfield, a Jamaica resident, in a car at 95-01 Northern Blvd. at 7:02 a.m.

Whitfield was reportedly found in the back seat of a BMW. Emergency responders pronounced him dead on the scene.

Police said that Whitfield had head trauma, but the medical examiner has not yet determined the cause of death.

No one has been arrested yet, and the police investigation is ongoing.
