NYPD: Man Stole Jewelry Worth $11,200 from Jackson Heights Apartments

Police have released surveillance photos of a man who allegedly stole more than $11,000 worth of jewelry from two Jackson Heights apartments on Aug. 31.

Police say that the man broke into an apartment near 81st Street and 34th Avenue at around 8 a.m. and took $7,200 worth of jewelry.

Then at 3:20 p.m. the same day, the suspect broke into an apartment near 81st Street and 35th Avenue. He took $4,000 worth of jewelry and went off in an unknown direction, police said.

The police released surveillance images from the second incident. Police describe the man as approximately 30-years-old and last seen wearing a multicolored baseball cap backwards, a black shirt, blue jeans, black sneakers and an earring.
