Suspect identified following fatal shooting on Roosevelt Avenue last week

Police are on the hunt for a suspect who they say fatally shot and killed a man in broad daylight on Roosevelt Ave last week.

The police allege that Raul Zamora, 33, shot and killed Jorge Manzanarez, 38, in a gang-related incident on Roosevelt Ave at 2:20 pm on May 5.

Manzanarez was found with a gunshot wound to his torso in front of 93-12 Roosevelt Ave, near the intersection of Roosevelt Ave and 93rd Street, according to police.

EMS responded and transported him to Elmhurst General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Zamora is described as a 5 foot 9 inch, 145-pound Hispanic man. The police have released a photo, shown above.

According to reports the shooting was gang related, with Zamora being a member of the Sureno 13 gang.

According to authorities, Zamora and two other men got into an argument with Manzanarez, before Zamora took out his gun and shot Manzanarez in the chest.

East Elmhurst man busted for a fatal collision in Flushing Meadows Corona Park on the 4th of July: NYPD

A Queens grand jury indicted an East Elmhurst man in connection to a July 4th fatal collision at Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

Yersson Diaz, 27, of Ericsson Street just south of LaGuardia Airport, appeared at Queens Criminal Court for a summons on Tuesday and was taken into custody, according to an NYPD spokeswoman. He was booked Tuesday afternoon at the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst, where he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
