A fire erupted on the seventh floor of an Elmhurst apartment building Sunday night forcing dozens of tenants to flee.

The four-alarm fire broke out at about 11:20 p.m. on the top floor of 80-15 41st Avenue and flames could be seen from the street as it burned through the roof.

About 160 firefighters battled the blaze, and they brought it under control by 1:38 a.m., according to the FDNY.

Nine firefighters suffered minor injuries and none of the residents of the 300-plus unit building were hurt. Many residents are now without homes.

The FDNY is still investigating the cause of the fire.
