North Corona Teen’s Death a Homicide, Police Say

The police have determined that a teenager found dead in Kissena Park Tuesday was the victim of a homicide.

North Corona resident Andy Peralta, 17, was discovered lying unconscious in the park near 161st St around noon, police said. The police were called and emergency personnel rushed to the scene. 

Emergency responders declared Peralta dead, and determined that he had sustained an injury to his head.

Peralta was originally from Naranjal, Ecuador according to his Facebook profile.

No one has been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
