Police: Man Attempted to Rob Elmhurst Chase Bank

Police are searching for a man who attempted to rob an Elmhurst bank on April 23.

The man approached the teller at the Chase Bank at 89-21 Queens Boulevard around 10 a.m, before passing a note demanding money. The suspect took off before the teller responded, police said. The man fled east down Queens Boulevard.

The suspect is described as a 40- to 50-year-old black man who is around 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and 160 to 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark colored cap, a dark suit, sunglasses and a dark colored briefcase.
