NYPD: Two Armed Men Who Have Robbed Stores Across Queens Hold Up Woodside Bodega

Suspect (NYPD) and Google

April 2, 2018 Staff Report

Two men wanted for a series of gun-point robberies throughout Queens struck a bodega on Woodside Friday.

The suspects entered a grocery store at 69-03 Northern Blvd. at around 12:35 a.m., March 30. One man displayed a gun and demanded cash while the other walked behind the counter to grab it. The pair put $1,200 in cash in a garbage bag and fled northbound on 62nd Street.

This is the fifth incident since December that police believe the suspects were involved in.

The first took place on Dec. 17 inside a 7 Eleven at 61-19 Northern Blvd., when one man displayed a gun while the other took cash.

The men followed the same modus operandi when they allegedly robbed a gas station at 29-16 Francis Lewis Blvd. on Jan. 4. Days later, Jan. 15, they allegedly robbed a Pizza Hut via the same method at 51-02 Northern Blvd.

The men then robbed a bodega on Jan. 18 at 150 Bayside Ave. and took $2,000, police said.

One of the suspects is described as being light skinned, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, and was last seen wearing a black mask covering his face, white striped shirt, blue gloves and armed with a firearm.

The second man is described as black, last seen wearing all black, a white mask and blue gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
