East Elmhurst Dunkin Donuts Robbed

Police are searching for two men who robbed an East Elmhurst Dunkin Donuts shortly after midnight on Wednesday.

The two men went inside the Dunkin Donuts at 100-09 Astoria Boulevard at around 12:40 a.m. One of the men acted as if he had a gun inside his jacket pocket. The other jumped over the counter and grabbed $200 from the cash register.

The men took off on foot in an unknown direction. No one was reported injured in the incident.

The first man is described as black, and about 5 foot, 7 inches tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket.

The other man was also black, and approximately 6 foot tall and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket.

East Elmhurst man busted for a fatal collision in Flushing Meadows Corona Park on the 4th of July: NYPD

A Queens grand jury indicted an East Elmhurst man in connection to a July 4th fatal collision at Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

Yersson Diaz, 27, of Ericsson Street just south of LaGuardia Airport, appeared at Queens Criminal Court for a summons on Tuesday and was taken into custody, according to an NYPD spokeswoman. He was booked Tuesday afternoon at the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst, where he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
