A Flushing man has been charged with murder for the brutal stabbing death that took place in Corona early Sunday.

Marcos Anzurez, 34, faces 25 years to life in prison for allegedly stabbing 29-year-old Luis Solis Apolonio in the neck, torso and extremities with a knife, the Queens DA announced yesterday.

Apolonio was found after he collapsed on the sidewalk outside of his 103rd Street home shortly after 4 a.m. Anzuerz also injured himself while stabbing Apolonio, the Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said. Both men were taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where Apolonio was pronounced dead.

Anzuerz was arraigned Tuesday and charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession.

Brown called the murder a “senseless act of violence.”

“An evening of socializing turned into a deadly dispute with one man dead and his companion charged with murder,” said Brown. “The defendant in this case is accused of stabbing the victim multiple times, fatally wounding him and in the process injuring himself.”
