Two five-story residential buildings are going to go up in Elmhurst, replacing a pair of single family homes, according to a Thursday filing with Dept of Buildings.
The two buildings will be located at 88-30 and 88-34 54th Ave. and will each have seven residential units.
Each structure will be equipped with a duplex, two-car garage, a laundry room and storage. Both buildings will have about 4,930 square feet for residential use, equating to about 700 square feet per unit.
The buildings will be four blocks from the Grand Avenue-Newtown subway station, which has access to the E, M and R subway lines. They will also be located two blocks from Queens Place Mall.
Demolition permits for the existing houses have been filed.
Xiu Qin Shi will develop the building at 88-30, and Bi Jin Huang will handle 88-34.
Tan Architect PC will design both properties.
