24-year-old woman slashed in the neck after suspect asked if she lived alone, police say

A 24-year-old woman who was about to enter her home was sliced in the neck by a suspect who asked her several times if she lived alone, according to the NYPD.

The woman who lives in the vicinity of Hampton Street and Baxter Avenue was approached at 2:40 am on June 28 by the suspect who put a knife to her neck and wanted to know if she lived alone.

The victim sustained a laceration to the left side of her neck, screamed and the suspect fled on foot.

The woman was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic in his 30’s, 5’9″, 180lbs.

Police have released a sketch of the suspect and ask anyone with any information to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
